"I just felt like, which I'm sure most people that are in our shoes, the monotony of my everyday life. It was kind of just like, go to work, come home. take care of my dogs. I'm not married. I don't have kids. My dogs are my kids. But I would just come home, go to bed, start over. And it was just the same thing all the time," shares Theresa Phillips on You Are A Lawyer.

Theresa's journey into art began as a way to break free from the monotony of her everyday life and find fulfillment outside of her legal career. Through self-teaching and experimentation, she has developed a unique artistic style characterized by vibrant colors, bold textures, and maximalist designs. Theresa's commitment to pursuing her passions and pushing herself out of her comfort zone is evident in her artwork and serves as an inspiration to others.

Why Law School

Theresa chose law school because she wanted to challenge herself and pursue a career that would allow her to make a difference. She mentions that she always felt like she was meant for more and had a desire to do something meaningful with her life. Theresa's decision to become a lawyer was driven by her passion for justice and her desire to advocate for others.

"I've always felt like there's more, like I'm meant for more. And I can kind of feel it in my soul, feel it in my heart, I'm meant for bigger things," reflects Theresa Phillips on Episode 127 of You Are a Lawyer.
